Blizzard knows what it is doing better than everyone on here, quit acting like you do. A Chinese court isn't going to rule against Blizzard just because they aren't Chinese because Blizzard is moving to a different Chinese company to continue making money off of the millions of players over there, even if most are gold farmers.

Good riddens I say. Now, if they can get rid of the Koreans too, the gold spam will be all but gone. They have such insane tactics in WoW... they drive you completely insane.

They will PM you like they are your friend, bother you during raids with massive amounts of chat spam, and even fill your mailbox full of "discount codes" and the like, as well as act like you are one of their "honored customers". Personally, I think they should all die horrific deaths, the likes of which most people could vomit to even think about. DIAF GOLD SELLERS

Yeah, it's for real.

If they don't bring up those servers by September/October, Aion will be THE MMO with 4,5mln in Asia and at least 1mln in EU/US.

And they won't be able to boast about being the most popular P2P MMO anymore.

Sounds like this is a good time to ask a question I had:

Are those 11.5 million that Blizzard keeps going on about individual subscriptions, or does it include people playing in internet cafes? (and just because I'm not sure myself, what is the difference in the Bottom Line for Blizzard?)

EDIT: OK read Abedeus's link http://tobolds.blogspot.com/2009/07/...5-million.html, found this:

"The Chinese players pay only about 6 cents per hour to play WoW, and most of that went to the Chinese operator, so in spite of China providing most of the players, it only provided a small part of the revenues and profits of Blizzard. Nevertheless the game being down for a month already certainly isn't good press, which is why Blizzard is keeping mum about it."

Man, on a side note, I find that pretty sleazy of Blizzard:

"Well, we have 11.5 million players, but only about 5 million actually subscribe through us, the others are just numbers we like to boast about even though we don't make much money from them."

Frick, the Chinese should be happy that the West was paying for their WoW!

(I did some quick math: If you're paying $15 a month, you'd be able to buy the equivalent of 250 hours in China. Now, maybe some WoW players spend about 8 hours a day playing WoW, but I doubt that many are.)

well withthat game each toonyou make is a different accoutn alot like runescape so i dont really think you can count that at all
if so runscape is king it has what 54 mil or something like that and thats becuz every bot has to make a new account

i f you do it that way then you will have to add all tonns mad eon all accounts then i think guildwars woul dbe at liek 30 mil toons and aion would be over 80 mil lol so really aio n is king

The logic behind this statement is as elusive as it is most likely flawed.

Accounts != Characters.

Also MS still has more accounts than Aion.
